The Communication for Health, Empathy, and Resilience (CHER) grant program ran from Fall 2017 to Spring 2023. The program aimed to promote collaboration between Moody College of Communication and Dell Medical School faculty in their evidence-based health communication scholarship, education, and community involvement endeavors.
Following a competitive review, grants were awarded to faculty-student teams for pilot projects exploring communication's role in promoting wellness, fostering empathy in healthcare, and supporting recovery from illness or injury.
